Got a topper for my 1990 Toyota pickup. I was worried about fitting because my truck is rather small. The topper fits great and it been a hoot for camping. Highly recommend it and would buy it again in a heartbeat.
Absolutely love this product. Originally bought the Mid Long CAP60 and had an amazing weekend camping in WV. We decided the Mid Long MR60 may be better to give us more room inside, FLATED (Joe) was awesome with exchanging it for us without any issues. Also bought the mattress topper, couldn’t be happier with quality, durability and comfort of this stuff. Highly recommend!
I love it. For me, I do a lot of camping/fishing during the summer. I normally have a hard tonneau cover and that's not enough space during the summer and fall. With Flated, I can switch from tonneau cover to this Flated camper shell. Now I have so much more room for all my camping needs. And to switch it up, I can install the Flated camper shell solo without any assistance. It perfectly fits my needs. I also bought the Flated pump and it makes life easier too. I did have to call support for some help and they were able to take care of me quickly. Very satisfied that they back up their product.
I've had my Flated for 2+ years now and it's still like brand new. I use it for camping, construction, and day to day use. I've slept in the bed of my truck in a blizzard and got too hot, and I've loaded the top with a ton of gear. I use the top of it to haul lumber and my ladders professionally, and it does the job just fine. I've accidentally popped a hole on the inside of it when I was throwing away a bunch of construction debris but the repair kit came in hand and the patch is holding up just fine. A tool I wish I purchased sooner. Their customer service has been great too. I ripped my back flap and they replaced it under warranty.
I bought the Air-Topper because I only need extra bed capacity occasionally. It definitely gives me that capability.
I had the Air-Topper installed for a week-long camping trip. The bed filled with a bunch of gear almost hitting the roof of the topper. It rained several times that week and my gear stayed dry in the bed of my 2017 GMC Canyon.
My Canyon came with a Roll-n-Lock bed cover that is great most of the time but I wanted to protect my gear when I have more than the bed cover holds. It's easy to inflate. It's little tricky to install with the Roll-n-Lock bed cover installed but definitely doable.
The only small issue I have with the Air-Topper is it's too long for my truck bed and and there is about an inch wide opening between the tailgate and back cover even when the Air-Topper front is pushed hard up against the cab.
Love it even thu had defective valve on my first one , but your customer service was so great and deserves a 10 !! My second one has been on and it’s great , and can’t wait to go camping again . I don’t have any really good pictures yet , but will send you some when I get some.
Love the product!! It’s easy for me to put on and take off as I am a senior 85 yrs old . I hav a little problem with it , your customer service is fantastic! Hannah took care of it right away , and it was a joy dealing with here ! Looking forward to many adventures with it .
Finally got to set it up and take it camping. Roomy and comfortable at 40 degrees. Assembly was easy and the fit on my 2016 Colorado is good. The rear flap does not block my rear view camera and as a bonus, the velcro strap makes it easy to open and close the tailgate from the inside of the topper. Took a while to figure out how to roll it back up but finally settled on rolling from the back end toward the bulkhead after drawing the air out with the pump. Perfect solution to wanting an occasional use topper without storage issues when not in use!
One of a kind piece of gear that I don't regret for a second! If anyone is hesitant about the topper or Flated, they needn't worry. Your truck will break down before this thing does.
easy to pump up , easy to install, no problems at highway
speeds. Less than half the price of a hard top. Whats not to like. ps
I like the way it looks on my Tacoma.
First off, super thick and rugged material specially adapted to do what it's advertised for. I run a painting company and use it on my work truck but it doubles for so many things like camping and storage. I absolutely love it. The only draw back is the back zip up flap has been notoriously hard for me to zip up and would suggest a better zipper with a better channel for the zipper teeth. That's my only complaint about the whole thing. All of the rest of it is absolutely tits
Bought this topper last April when my wife started accepting travel nurse contracts and haven’t taken it off since. We have traveled from Alabama to Washington and now headed back! I’ve driven through a tornado warning and it’s withstood hail and a foot of snow overnight. I’ve toted a two person kayak on top from Billings, Mt to Seattle. And it has helped move my wife and I’s livelihoods across the country. The air deck was not ready for my size when I purchased the topper so I built a platform that also fits my toolbox underneath. We have used it as a camper on multiple occasions and love it. The fact that it goes back into a bag when you’re done with it sold me and I haven’t put it back yet. Having bought the prototype only makes me want the new one more.
Hannah was WONDERFUL. She was quick and helpful and most importantly she did not waste my time with excessive information or selling. She told me exactly what I needed and was very friendly.
I was a little skeptical at first and thought I’d take a chance being the price was so cheap and wow it’s much better than expected takes about a minute to take it off. The best thing about this product is that it folds up and fits in a bag

Interesting attaching the manual pump VS the bigger battery powered pump. I had to play around with the white silicone washer so that when I press the hose into the valve on the topper it seats properly. One of those white silicone washers is thicker & the other is thinner. I finally got it working just right however. Louise
I really want to give the Flated topper 5 stars because it's exactly what I've been looking for in a stowable camper shell. It works great and is very easy to install. But I absolutely despise the back window and how it feels like an afterthought for the system. The velcro strap you tighen around the tailgate is cheesy, the fact that you can’t velcro from within the bed means you can’t fully seal out the wind, and even though I double-checked I had the correct size topper recommended for my 6' Chevy Colorado bed, the topper extends out beyond the back of my truck. Also, the rear window flap has scratched the paint of my tailgate from dust accumulation and driving in the wind. Please, Flated! Come up with a better solution for the rear window/tailgate attachment!!!
I'm mostly very pleased with my purchase. I drove 1700 plus miles and including over 100 miles on dusty dirt roads. During the adventure I had a bit of rain and snow as well. My gear stayed dry and accumulated only a minimal amount of dust. I don't like the roll up rear window very much - it works but is inconvenient and the outside surface really collects dust. I would prefer some kind of rigid plastic window option. The front corner gaskets don't really fit my 2018 6ft Tacoma bed properly, and I can see that tears are developing in both corners.
I was able to install my Flated truck cover in just about 1 hour. The hardest part was pumping the cover up. This truck cover will keep the equipment protected from the winter weather.
I got the mid-rise Flated topper for my 2016 Chevy Colorado 6" bed. A friend helped me install it. Very straightforward process. It sits pretty well on the truck bed. I added some weather-striping at the cab end. I recently used it on a camping trip and it made my truck bed into a nice area for sleeping and protection from the weather. Also, after 40 miles on a dirt road, there was not much dust intrusion into the bed of the truck. It seems very secure on the bed rails, no flapping or wind noise. I'm pretty happy with it.
Minus one star because it was missing a strap when I got it. And the "skirting" does not fit that great around the edge of the truck bed. It kind of curls up, and it doesn't come over the corners near the cab at all. But the topper is still seated securely.
Looks very bulky from the back
Seems around the bottom are still splitting
Makes squeaky noise while driving. From rubbing on the bed?
Don’t like the white window labels.
It was very easy to get it inflated and put on the truck. I am going to buy ratchet straps because those one it came with I do not trust them. Here in San Luis Valley of southern Colorado the winds can be brutal. Sometimes 60 to 70 mph, and I don't want it to fly off the truck. Going on a trip to Illinois in May I'll let you know how it does on that trip.
The whole concept of a single person podouble and easily stored canopy is awesome. The corners in the front towards the cab alloupdate light and weather to shine through. Meaning unprotected cargo that could be damaged due to weather. Add thicker non inflatable rubber foamIn the corners and around the whole entire seal between the flated canopy and the truck bed. Sealing any weather out. You're welcome for the very simple idea
