When a friend’s tent failed its waterproof test… sure glad we had the FLATED to save the camping trip. And to think he was an Eagle Scout not too long ago. FLATED saved the day and made me look like the more knowledgeable in the outdoors!
Ive been waiting to write this review just to see how well this thing holds up. Let me tell you, I have put it through its paces. I have hauled my kayak strapped to the roof from south Florida to Louisiana, camped in the Everglades and central Florida. It’s been outside in this summer heat, rain, cold, sat outside in my yard for three weeks. I’ve actually was driving close to my buddy’s house, hit the corner an aluminum bahama shutter, it broke THE SHUTTER! I just wash it with my truck wash soap and it comes out great. I can’t believe how tough it is. After going on two years, I just now noticed some stitching starting to come loose and one side the glued window Velcro is coming off. I never thought it would last this long to be honest. I added a cargo net on the inside when I camp I can use it for storage, also added two inflatable boat handles on the sides so I can use them to get in and out of the truck easier.
Just got back from Florida. Put about 2500 miles on the new topper it was flawless love it. The carrier has about 10k miles on it no problems happy I got it

Great truck topper and very user friendly. I would like to see a better was of securing the back window. The strap around the tailgate is a bit frustrating. The top looks great on the truck!!

Great product. ...Time for a little feedback. My electric pump needs a little more space between the valve and the top to inflate the cover. It will switch to high pressure mode early. Not a big deal. Second. How do I get this back in the bag? Folding instructions would help. Also, my bad. Stepped on one of the plastic buckles underneath the storage bag and broke it. Otherwise... great product. Would recommend.
Great product. It handled 70mph without any issues and I barely notice any extra drag. I do wish the pockets inside had more material to hold stuff as they are pretty useless. Molle straps inside wouldve been awesome too. Overall, very happy with it.

Install was easy, videos were helpful. Drove from Milwaukee to St Paul and back last weekend. Topper moved back on bed about 2 inches on drive up. Retightened straps, no movement on drive back. Will purchase new rear door soon. Hoping to camp in it this fall. Great product!
My grandson ~6'3", 220# was afraid he would break it when I told him to stand on it. I told him that they drove a wheeler up on it so he couldn't hurt it. He, his mom & cousin were impressed as is everyone I show the pictures to. It is a tad long for my 2015 F-250SD, so the topper rubs the rear of my cab. The front panel also cuts off the top half of the cab's rear window. No biggie if you have a backup camera or are proficient using just your side mirrors. It has held up so far with no worries about coming loose during a high-speed highway run or letting water in during a few torrential downpours we've had. I got the first gen of the replacement inflated rear window as well. Some issues I'll address in that review. Oh, and by the way, it is heavy. Maybe the short bed versions aren't, but it was all I could do to get it up on the truck. It would be best to phone-a-friend.
We recently took a road trip and stopped mid-way on the way there and back. Slept overnight on an air mattress very comfortably. Installation was a breeze and despite being in a heavy thunderstorm the first night, not a single drop of water came inside the truck bed. We would definitely recommend this product!
Haven’t used it much. But fits good. We are just getting to some decent weather up here in Alaska. Find out more to come.

Its been great so far. Drove 1000 miles last weekend with it and had no issues.
This topper is exactly what I’d hoped it would be! It was very easy to install solo, and turned the truck into a perfect camper for me, two kiddos and a lab. We took a 4,550 mile road trip through all weather conditions and it still looks like new. It seemed to hold heat well on the colder nights too. Deinstall was 5 mins! If I had one “complaint,” it would be that it’s hard to open/close the side windows from the inside - or totally seal the back window when you’re inside. Not sure how that could be fixed, and it was not a major issue. Love the topper!!
Fits well, looks good, and is dry on the inside after two weeks in the Pacific Northwest Winter.
This was fantastic with the drive across the USA. Drove through 8 hours of constant rain and not a drop of rain got inside!! Got to destination, took it off and folded it up for the next trip - VERY HAPPY!

This is a really great product! I ordered the topper and was excited when it arrived. I had already watched over a dozen YouTube videos and knew how to set it up. Whe I opened the box the bag had spots on it. Still excited, figured I could clean it off later, I started to pump up the sides first When I got to the main section the valve was broken. I called Flated customer service and spoke to Joe. I explained to Joe that I was leaving Delaware to go to NY to pack up and I wanted the extra height the topper would give me. Joe sent the topper to the NY address to meet me when I got there. He also had the first topper picked up in Delaware. When the second topper showed up I had it set up in 30 minutes. This topper is awesome. Very sturdy and rigid. I have the full size topper on my F350 and it weighs around 80-100 lbs, but it was still manageable by myself. I’m very happy with the topper and would buy again in a minute. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about is how the rear window is fasten to the tailgate. I think in the future Flated will figure it out. I just packed it up and put it away in the shed. Not a problem. What I really like is that it’s not sitting on my lawn when it’s off the truck.
Put it on drove from Wisconsin to Lake Tahoe to LA, slept in the bed , 15degrees, has exceeded all my expectations
Product is great, easy assembly. I did have to make a few adjustments to the tailgate strap as it covered my rearview camera (f-150) but was able to do so without too much hassle.
We took it on a rainy camping trip and it kept us completely dry! We live in rain country so that is very important to us! We are looking forward to many adventures in the future! Easy to put on our truck and fits perfectly! It’s ideal for us!
The topper was very easy to install. Fit perfectly to the bed of the truck. Stayed secured while driving on the interstate at 70+ mph. When I called customer service, for assistance, they were very helpful and even assisted with a question that was missed during the purchase. When taking the topper off to store it, I was able to find good videos online to explain how to repackage it. If you are not planning on leaving a topper on full time, I would definitely recommend this product.
Great product
This truck was towed behind my motorhome for a 2400 mile trip at speeds up to 85 mph, very heavy winds at times and 2 days of rain. It was rock solid and dry inside the entire time. My only gripe is how it secures the back window… Inusually have bright ideas on product improvements for something like that, but I have to admit I don’t on this one… maybe magnets in the lower part of the rear windows??
Love it. I didn’t want a permanent topper and this fits the bill great. Stays put at highway speeds, looks good, goes on and off easy!
Went 2400 plus miles to Wyoming and back Elk hunting . Never had a issue with the topper at all 85-90 mph in HI winds and topper did not disappoint.
Kept my balloon dry from PA to ABQ. So far it’s been great.
I have the Flated topper and cot on a F150 Powerboost, with a motorcycle carrier on the receiver. With the onboard AC, I’m totally self sufficient with a fridge, heated blanket, space heater and induction cooktop. So I can camp, then take the bike out for off-road adventures.
2,000 miles on the maiden voyage. 7 nights camped out in the topper at 10,000ft in northern Utah. Left Southern California at sea level and 80 degrees and drove to hunt camp in northern Utah. This trip saw everything from sunny and 80 degrees at sea level to winter storms that delivered snow and freezing rain with night temps in the teens. Never once needed to adjust air pressure. Multiple tree branches struck and dragged across the topper and over a hundred miles of off road trails without any issues. This topper is the real deal and I can’t be more thankful for my purchase.

My experience with Flated and specifically with Joe was Top notch! the buying experience and the customer service provided by joe and his team was fantastic. There was an issue with the expedited shipping that I paid extra for that honestly was completely outside of the Flated teams' control however they stood up and credited back my shipping expense which was greatly appreciated. Products work great! I recently went on two 6 hour trips where the majority of the trip was at Montana highway speeds of 80 + miles per hour and had no issues. overall great product, with even better customer service!
Our Flated is everything we hoped it would be and then some. It is allowing us to pack all our adventure gear in the truck to keep it dry and out of sight. We have our e-bikes and inflatable kayaks under cover. We had wind driven rain our 2nd night camping and everything stayed dry. It stays put at highway speeds towing the camper. We think our gas mileage has gone up a bit with the topper on. We LOVE it.
It’s good! It worked really well on our first road trip. Only complaint is the way the back piece connects to the tailgate.
We put almost 800 miles on the cap with pouring rain and hard winds and never had an issue. Everything stayed dry and the cap never moved. Easy to install and use.
I really like my new air topper. This is my second one. It fits my needs great. It was raining on my first trip with it, I love the fact that you made it waterproof. I experienced no leaks on my new topper. You have made some really nice improvements from the first toppers that came out. It feels more secure all the way around.
We purchased the 66MR to help with the aerodynamics of our truck while pulling our travel trailer. We could tell a big difference on our first trip out as it took away the buffeting of the wind on the front of our camper. The added storage was an additional bonus.
