Kept the bed dry in heavy rain. Fairly easy set up/tear down.
I retired in 2025 and had a plan to convert a van into a travel vehicle for my wife and I. After she expressed that she hated long car rides and had no desire to join me on my little adventures, I decided to convert my 2008 Toyota Tundra into a camper truck for one. I have owned other trucks with camper shells but always hated having to take it off when I had to haul tall items. I was watching a YouTube video on Truck camper conversions and I saw the Flated Topper for the first time. I started investigating and was intrigued. I decided to give it a try and since it arrived I have been blown away. It is everything I was hoping for and more. It is so sturdy and easy to put off and on. It travels great too, no noise and no extra weight. I just love this product. Best invention ever. I can’t wait to take it around the country.
Service Rep Joe was awesome. Answered all questions and concerns. Purchased the cleaner and UV protection and applied it as soon as the top was on the truck. Make sure you use Vinyl window cleaner on the windows. The UV protection will add a film on the windows. I purchased mine at a marina. The top has been through monsoon rains while on the road and no water has entered. I added para cord to the back zippers so my wife could reach them. Very easy to install as long as you can lift about 75 lbs over your head. So far I am very happy with my purchase.
Customer Service made the experience great. Had an issue with first unit and with an email and quick communication everything was straightened out.
The canopy is so easy to install. We camped in the back in YS amd though the temps dropped to 25 degrees it was very comfortable in there. On top of that thier customer service is next to none. We had an issue and they were able to solve the problem quickly so we could take it to yellowstone. Love these guys!
Drove from northern Utah to Kansas City with no issues. Handled great through Wyoming going 80 mph with 40 mph crosswinds. Was a tad nervous but it held up like a champ! Rechecked the air pressure due to altitude changes and had to add a couple pumps. No big deal. Had loads of people ask questions and I’ve had nothing but a great experience! Price is totally worth it and even more so with the govx discount!
Small issue discovered after product arrived but Joe at customer service got me taken care of quickly without hassle. Functions as advertised. Rock solid at highway speed with no loss of gas mileage. No leaking during 2 days of driving in rain. Looking forward to when the hard door is available. Will make it much easier for getting in and out.

Inaugural trip was great. It was easy to install. I traveled at speeds up to 70mph. It rained a lot! No water got in. I am happy with the purchase. It easy to switch between this and hauling my 5th wheel.
Had an issue with my original purchase. Followed their trouble shooting instructions to no avail. Replacing it was quick and easy. Very happy with my replacement topper! Thank you!
I love my new Flated topper. This was purchased so we could ditch our 5th wheel and get back to simple truck and tent camping again. I enjoy the fact that I can put this on and off myself when I want a cap or don't want a cap.
We waited to write a review until it had been tested in many conditions. It now has been driven cross country through 60 mph winds with driving rains when passing through Nebraska on the way to Moab. Completely stable in the wind without any leaks at all. We sleep in it and love it. Very pleased with the purchase to this point. Would like to see an improvement in how the back window secures. The Velcro strap that secures the bottom edge of the window has put some run marks in the trucks paint.
I’ve been really impressed with my Flated setup. The build quality is better than I expected, it holds air solid, and it’s been rock-steady even at highway speeds. Super easy to install and remove compared to a traditional hard topper, and being able to deflate and store it when I don’t need it is a huge win. I’ve used it for camping and hauling gear and it’s handled Colorado weather, wind, and temperature swings without any issues. For anyone who wants versatility without committing to a permanent topper, this is absolutely worth it. Also wanna add I just drove across the county through the wind storm in Wyoming and Montana and it held up just fine with winds up to 80mph

Easier to install than I thought. The entire process took less than 45 minutes. Now I have a camper shell that I can remove by myself when nessasary. I love it.
I have lots of questions when I'm in the process of spending lots of $$$...I do my homework and I must say, I could not be happier with my experience. The folks at Flated were very patient with me as I asked a hundred questions (probably literally) I am so happy to have made this purchase, and as can be seen by the (poor) photos, I inflated my new cap, installed it and started construction of my easily removable "bed" immediately. I could not wait to use it so the very first weekend I took a trip in it and absolutely LOVE my purchase. Now, I have a fairly FAST and EASY to install or remove camping set-up for my many adventures. It allows me to have my truck back to being a truck in minutes (without the assistance of others) or I can quickly install it all back on for adventure time. Thanks Flated!
I got this so I could keep my dogs in the back when we hunt. It’s super lightweight and has kept all the rain out! Typically driving 120-150miles to hunt and don’t even notice it’s there. Only issue with the tailgate strap, it doesn’t want to stay put. Overall the canopy has been a great purchase!
Topper installed easily and after one short camping journey i think this is going to work really well for me.

Was planning a trip from DFW to Phoenix and needed additional storage for luggage, golf clubs, etc. Found the Flated topper and was super excited to try it out. All in all it worked great. We ran into a couple of storms near Albuquerque and everything stayed dry. There was some pretty crazy cross winds and we had no issues. Super happy so far.
Shipping was great. Product is really well put together. The value for the money is definitely there obviously the ability to take it down when not needing is really important. I think the only thing I would like to see more from the company is more clear instructions on how to deflate it and store the windows, but I got it figured out overall absolutely love it. They are doing a great job!
So far so good….keeps my stuff dry. I use pool noodles When I want to roll up the side and rear vinyl window, it helps to keep them smooth once you unroll them.

Just put on this week. Not to bad, only tough think for me was dealing with the Hercules strength velcro ( almost seventy). Do believe I'm going to love it. Bought to transport electric bikes standing up while pulling travel trailer. Thanks to the Team at Flated
The box came in on FedEx truck. Within minutes I folded it out and began filling with air. I have a fairly high truck but it was no problem installing it by myself. I strapped it down and drove 2000 miles. Had no issues. Event slept back there 2 nights. The next week a made that drive again to pick up my newly wrapped boat. A going very good solid performance. I drove half way back then climbed in back for a nap. It rained all night but no water came in. The next day I drove 700 miles in a driving rain. Some water got in, maybe a cup full but that was it. I would absolutely recommend the flated topper to anyone.
Great products! The Topper and Storage System are just what I was looking for. Easy to put on and take off and folds away nicely - not taking up half of my garage like a fiberglass shell would.
Easy to set up and a compact for storing when not in use.
Love this thing. Very durable at half the cost of metal or fiberglass. The only thing I changed were the tie downs. I found that using inexpensive ratchet straps I was able to seal out the elements ( 99% ) between the topper and the truck rails with a little extra tug and some foam tape. Absolutely love it.
I love my FLATED topper! It is so easy to install and remove. It’s quiet on the highway, keeps out the rain, and looks freaking cool. Can’t wait to camp in it all summer!

Amazing product. Fits like a glove and is so light! Driving in high wind had no affect away the truck handled and it stayed snuggly in place. Inside the windows work great and the amount of space is awesome. Have taken it camping several times and it made for an incredible experience. So glad you have made a light weight camper shell. highly recommend.

S'no'w problems in the back of the truck are no longer issues with my new flated shell. Good to have it during recent snowstorms on a hunting trip, which kept my gear dry and ready to go!

The air topper is built very well. It managed not to move in high winds while driving through Wyoming on the way to elk camp. Very happy with the purchase. The only concern I have is the zippers on the back window. I had a problem with one zipper not wanting to work correctly
Love it! Bought the taller version for my ram 2500 and really enjoy it. I live in the wet Pacific Northwest, and I've been very impressed with how waterproof the topper is. No water has gotten in so far and I have just installed it as it comes. I took it down to 17° up in the mountains and left it for five days, and was impressed to see there was no difference in pressure or performance. very easy to takeoff quickly. Works great for me, as I don't have a lot of storage space or large land.
