FLATED at the Great American Outdoor Show 2026

  • 2 min read

Every year there are a handful of events that remind you why you build what you build. The Great American Outdoor Show is one of them.

We had an incredible week in Harrisburg meeting outfitters, guides, and hardcore outdoorsmen from around the world. There’s something powerful about shaking hands with people who truly rely on their trucks — not just for weekend trips, but for their livelihoods.

One of the coolest parts? Hearing firsthand that AirToppers are running on hunting guides’ trucks in New Zealand and South Africa which FLATED is available in those countries!  When someone tells you your product is bouncing down backroads on the other side of the world — carrying gear, dogs, and everything in between.

A Show That Covers the Entire Outdoors

The Great American Outdoor Show isn’t just about hunting — it’s the full spectrum of outdoor culture. The massive fishing tank was a highlight, offering demonstrations and insight from anglers who fish waters across the globe. It’s one thing to read about techniques. It’s another to watch them happen right in front of you.

We also loved seeing new ideas emerging in the space. Platforms like CamoSpace — a hunting-centric social media network — show that the outdoor community continues to evolve while staying grounded in its roots. It’s exciting to watch innovation happening not just in gear, but in how people connect.

Culture, Community… and Pretzels

You can’t talk about Harrisburg without talking about the Amish. The Amish pretzels? Unreal. In fact, we were half-serious (maybe fully serious) about designing an inflatable topper for a buggy. Lightweight. Durable. Weather-resistant. Amish-approved mobility solution? We’re thinking about it.

Why We Keep Coming Back

What stands out most about the East Coast outdoor community is the authenticity. People ask real questions. They use their trucks hard. They care about quality and practicality. That’s our lane.

We left inspired — by the outfitters, the guides, the anglers, the innovators, and the families who make this lifestyle what it is. The conversations we had will directly influence what we build next.

We love the East Coast. If you stopped by the booth — thank you. If you missed us, we’ll see you in 2027.
