About Jake

Born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming, Jake now calls Missoula, Montana home. When he's not guiding clients through Montana's rivers, you'll find him truck camping, fishing, floating rivers, hiking, surfing, and chasing wild game with his family.

The Ride

Jake travels in his 2018 Toyota Tundra equipped with a FLATED topper, creating the perfect mobile setup for fishing trips, hunting missions, and backcountry adventures.

Life On The Road

Jake stays mobile with his FLATED topper and single cot setup, giving him the perfect balance of comfort, storage, and flexibility. With room for his gear and bike, he can camp from location to location while searching for the next adventure.

The Start Of The Journey

Jake discovered fly fishing while attending the University of Montana after his good friend Travis introduced him to the sport on Rock Creek. What started as a new experience quickly became a lifelong passion.

Favorite Catches

Jake enjoys chasing brown trout for their incredible colors and fight, but his true dream catch is a giant pike. Every fish tells a different story, and every trip brings a new challenge.

Dream Fishing Adventure

One day Jake hopes to travel south of the border to chase legendary species like rooster fish, permit, and giant trevally. For him, the best adventures are always the ones that push boundaries.

Jake believes the best campsite is wherever the compass points. If he had to choose one Montana favorite, Sluice Box holds a special place as one of his go-to spots.
