The adventure started in Louisiana, where Ken kicked things off with some kayak fishing in true southern style. Surrounded by quiet waters and swampy scenery, it was the perfect way to soak in the slower pace before the long haul west.

After Louisiana, Ken made his way into the heart of Texas with a stop in Austin to visit the iconic YETI headquarters. As someone passionate about outdoor gear and quality craftsmanship, this visit was a highlight. It was a chance to connect with another brand that lives and breathes adventure—and of course, to swap stories and ideas with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

No great road trip is without a twist, and this one came in the form of a surprise ice storm in New Mexico. Temps dropped, the roads iced over, and suddenly this southern road trip turned into a true test of endurance. But while others scrambled for shelter, Ken had everything he needed right in the back of his truck.
