COLORADO RANCH ADVENTURE

This FLATED Roadtrip! takes Ken back to a place he's been visiting for years—his family ranch.

After loading up the truck and hitting the road, the adventure started before he even reached camp. A few fallen trees blocked the road into the property, so the first task of the trip was clearing the trail to make it through.

Once he arrived, the wildlife sightings started almost immediately.

The first moose appeared shortly after getting to the ranch, and it definitely wasn't the last. Throughout the trip, Ken spotted moose multiple times while driving around the property, hiking, and relaxing around camp. There was even a large herd of elk moving through the area.

With camp set up in the Air-Topper®, Ken spent the evenings enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains. The ranch is one of those places where you can completely disconnect and enjoy being outside.

The next day was spent exploring the property, hiking around some favorite spots, and keeping an eye out for more wildlife. Every time it seemed like the moose sightings were over, another one would appear.

Back at camp, things got even more interesting when a bear wandered through the area. Fortunately, it kept moving, but it added another memorable wildlife encounter to an already eventful trip.

Of course, no roadtrip would be complete without a little fishing. Ken grabbed his paddle board and spent some time fishing from the water, enjoying a beautiful day and taking advantage of the incredible scenery surrounding the ranch.

After a few days of camping, fishing, hiking, and seeing more wildlife than he could count, it was time to pack up camp and head home.

Trips like this are a reminder that you don't always need to travel across the country to find adventure. Sometimes it's about returning to places you know and love, spending time outdoors, and appreciating everything that's right in your own backyard.
