This past weekend, the FLATED crew joined in on one of Missoula’s best bike events of the year, The Mullet Classic, put on by our local legends at the Missoula Mountain Bike Coalition (MMBC).

If you’re new to The Mullet, it’s a two-person race where one rider handles the climb (that’s the business), and their teammate takes on the downhill (party time!). It’s the perfect combo of grit, gravity, and good laughs... Missoula-style.
After the race, everyone gathered for MMBC’s end-of-season party, complete with a beer tent from Big Sky Brewing, a slow race, a stein-holding contest, and style awards for the riders who really let their mullets, real or metaphorical, fly.

Representing our hometown, the Missoula FLATED squad came out strong to support the event, hang with the local riding community, and celebrate another epic season on the trails. Our office in Missoula is full of mountain bikers, so being part of this day just felt right; good people, local brews, and a whole lot of trail dust.
FLATED was proud to back the cause and help raise money for MMBC’s ongoing work maintaining and expanding Missoula’s trail network. We raffled off a refurbished Air-Topper, and in true Missoula fashion, the winner had just sold his truck. But that’s okay — we’ll help him find the right FLATED gear for his next adventure.
Supporting local events and nonprofits is a big part of who we are. We’re not just here to make gear for the road; we’re here to build community, give back to the places we love, and celebrate the people who make them special.
Big thanks to MMBC, Big Sky Brewing, and everyone who came out to make The Mullet Classic what it is: part race, part party, and 100% Missoula.

Until next year, keep your bikes dirty and your mullets classy.
